Flora and Fauna

The spontaneous vegetation is mostly constituted by spiked trees, bushes and shrubs such as rosemary.

Fox, Badgers, Rabbits and Genets exist in all park area as well as bats.

Fossils Museum

By the cave complex and near the Rock Garden, the Fossils Museum has a collection of specimen "rescued" from the caves own parking lot. The fossils are from a quarry nearby that used to be a shallow sea during the Jurassic Period

House of Knowledge

An interpretive center for caves and karst regions, as well as geological curiosities, the history of caving, an exhibition center and a place where visitors who cannot physically descend into the cave can do so virtually.

The size of the Mira de Aire caves, with broad rooms and galleries allows events to be conducted inside the cave, in a unique setting, as well as movie recordings, video clips, soap operas, etc.

The Grutas de Mira de Aire, 80 meters deep, have a gallery that, thanks to the excellent natural conditions it presents, was transformed into an area for staging, marketing and tasting (red) wine.
